ASTU Guwahati Recruitment 2023 Post Description:
Assam Science and Technology University, Guwahati has invited interested and eligible candidates to apply for the recruitment of 04 Multi-Tasking Assistant Vacancies. Vacancy Details of ASTU Guwahati Recruitment:
1. Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS)
No of posts: 01
Educational Qualification: The applicant should be a graduate, preferably in Computer Engineering/ Information Technology. Must have experience working in the university environment. Working experience in MS Office and usage of online tools is an essential requirement. Exposure to the management of networking environment in a typical university system, university level ERP, library management software, financial accounting software like Tally, and handling computerization of exam-related issues would be added advantage.
Knowledge of the Assamese language is a requirement. Working knowledge of Hindi and English is desirable.
Remuneration: Rs.12000/- consolidated per month.
Age Limit: Maximum age is 35 years as on 01/01/2023.
2. Registrar
No of posts: 01 (UR)
Educational Qualification:
(i) A Masters degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade on a seven-point scale, and,
(ii) At least 15 years of experience as an Assistant Professor in Academic Level 11 and above or with 8 years of service in Academic Level 12 and above including as an Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration. Or Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education. Or 15 years of administrative experience of which eight years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
Pay Scale: Pay level-14 (Rs.1,44,200-2,18,200/-) + other allowances as admissible by Govt of Assam.
3. Controller of Examination (CoE)
No of posts: 01 (UR)
Educational Qualification:
(i) A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade on a seven-point scale, and,
(ii) At least 15 years of experience as an Assistant Professor in Academic Level 11 and above or with 8 years of service in Academic Level 12 and above including as an Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration. Or Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education. Or 15 years of administrative experience of which eight years shall be as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.
Pay Scale: Pay level-14 (Rs.1,44,200-2,18,200/-) + other allowances as admissible by Govt of Assam.
4. Junior Assistant/ Office Assistant
No of posts: 01
Educational Qualification: The applicant must be a Graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. Candidate must have adequate Computer Knowledge and exposure to Windows and MS Office environments having fluency in English writing and speaking. Knowledge of the Assamese language is desirable.
Scale of Pay: Rs.14000-60500/- + Grade Pay Rs.8,000/- (as per Govt. of Assam 7th pay scale).
Age Limit: Candidate age must be between 18 to 40 years as on 01/01/2023.

Post 2 & 3: A processing fee (Non-refundable) of Rs.2000/- (Rs.1000/- for SC/ST candidates) in the mode of DD/Bankers Cheques drawn in favor of the “Assam Science and Technology University” payable at State Bank of India, AEC Branch, Branch Code: 010670, Guwahati, Assam, India.
Post 4: An application processing fee of Rs.1000/- only (Rupees One Thousand Only) Reserved category (SC/ST) applicants need to pay Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only). All fees are to be paid by Demand Draft or by Banker’s Cheque in favor of Assam Science and Technology University, Guwahati payable at State Bank of India, AEC Branch, Branch Code: 010670, Guwahati-781013, Assam.
