1. Sub – Divisional Sports Officer

No of posts: 4 [SC: 01, STP: 01, STH: 01 & EWS: 01]

Pay: Rs. 22,000 to 97,000/- GP: Rs. 9400/-

Educational Qualification: Degree in Arts / Science / Commerce from a recognized University with a Degree / Diploma in Physical Education from a recognized University / Institution of Physical Education in India OR 3 /4 years B.PE Degree (recognized (SDSO) by Govt.) from a recognized University / Institution of Physical Education in India.

2. Physical Instructor

No of posts: 119 [UR: 53, OBC/MOBC: 16, SC: 04, STP: 07, STH: 03 & EWS: 06]
Pay: Rs. 14,000 to 60,500/- GP: Rs. 8700/- Educational Qualification: Degree in Arts / Science / Commerce from a recognized University with a Degree / Diploma in Physical Education from a recognized University / Institution of Physical Education in India OR 3 /4 years B.PE Degree (recognized by Govt.) from a recognized University / Institution of Physical Education in India.

3. Coach

No of posts: 54 [UR: 17, OBC/MOBC: 16, SC: 04, STP: 07, STH: 03 & EWS: 06]

Disciplines: Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Athletics, Badminton, Swimming, Wushu, Weightlifting, Taekwondo, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Boxing, Archery, Gymnastics, Hockey, Canoeing & Kayaking, Judo, Kho – Kho, Kabaddi, Wrestling, Cycling, Cricket, Mountaineering & Adventurism, Fencing, and Handball.

Pay: Rs. 14,000 to 60,500/- GP: Rs. 8700/-

Educational Qualification: Degree in Arts / Science / Commerce from a recognized University with one-year Diploma in Sports Coaching from Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports (NSNIS) OR equivalent Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Coaching from any other Institute recognized by Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India. Or Degree in Arts / Science / Commerce from a recognized University with Diploma in Method of Instruction Course and Basic & Advance Course in Mountaineering from recognized Institution.

Other Criteria of Sports & Youth Welfare Assam Recruitment

Citizenship: Candidates must be citizens of India within the meaning of Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and must be permanent residents of Assam.

Employment Exchange Registration Certificate: The candidate must produce a Registration Certificate of Employment Exchange in the State of Assam along with the application form.

Age Limit: 

The candidates for the post of SDSO must not be less than 21 years or more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2022. The candidates for the post of P.I. & Coach must not be less than 21 years or more than 40 years of age as on 01-01-2022.

Age Relaxation: The category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below:
i. By 5 years for SC/ST candidates
ii. By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates.
iii. By 2 years for Ex-Servicemen.
The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Matriculation/HSLC Admit Card or Pass Certificate issued by a recognized Central/State Board/Council and no other document shall be accepted in lieu of the mentioned documents.

How to apply for Sports & Youth Welfare Assam Recruitment?

Candidates are required to apply in the prescribed form along with self-attested copies of all academic Certificates, Mark sheets, and other testimonials.

Candidates are required to enclose the following documents:

1. 2 (two) recent Passport size Photographs. (Self-attested)
2. ID Proof like- Pan Card/Voter ID Card/Adhar Card/Driving License/Passport/Current ID Card issued by the Education Institutions.
3. Admit Card/Pass Certificate of H.S.L.C examination.
4. Graduation and Diploma Certificate and Mark Sheet.
5. Valid Employment Exchange Registration Certificate.
6. Income & Assets certificate of the family issued by the officer, not below the rank of Circle Officer (in case of EWS candidates).
7. Caste/Category Certificate (In the case of reserved category candidates).
8.Discharge Book No. & Date, place of issue (in case of Ex-serviceman).

The candidate already employed should note that the prerogative for according permission to appear in Written Examination/Join services on being selected by the Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam in due course of time shall rest upon the appropriate authority. The Director of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam shall not be in any way responsible/accountable in the event of not being accorded permission to appear in the written examination/join service after selection.
The application is accompanied by a self-addressed (In capital letters) envelope (22 cm X 10 cm), affixing Postal Stamp of Rs. 5.00 (Rupees five) only.
