SBI Clerk Recruitment 2023 Eligibility Details
Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificates should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 30.12.2023.
Final Year Candidates: Those who are in the final year/ semester of their graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if provisionally selected, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 30.12.2023.
Local Language Proficiency: The candidates applying for vacancies in a particular State/UT, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in the specified opted local language of that State/UT.
Age Limit: Candidate’s age should not be below 20 years and not above 28 years as on 01.04.2023, i.e. candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1995 and not later than 01.04.2003 (both days inclusive).
Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is as mentioned below—
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwD (Unreserved): 10 years
- PwD (OBC): 13 years

Selection Process of SBI Clerk Recruitment 2023
The selection process of SBI Clerk Recruitment will consist of an online test (Preliminary & Main exam) and a test of specified opted local language.
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
An online Preliminary Exam consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:

Phase – II: Main Examination
The structure of the Online SBI Clerk Recruitment Main Exam would be as follows:

As mentioned above, each exam will have a different timing.
There will be negative marks for wrong answers in objective tests. For each wrong answer, 1/4th of the marks prescribed for the question will be deducted.
Candidates are required to obtain a minimum percentage of marks in aggregate (for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD/ESM/DESM candidates, 5% relaxation is available). The overall minimum qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank. There are no minimum qualifying marks prescribed for individual subjects. Section-wise marks will not be maintained.
The merit list will be released state-wise and category-wise. Candidates qualified in the examination (Main Examination) will be placed in descending order in the respective states and categories according to their total marks.
Test of specified selected local language
Those who qualify for selection and produce 10th or 12th class marksheet/certificate evidencing having studied the specified chosen local language will not be subjected to any language test. In the case of others (eligible for selection), the specified local language test will be conducted after provisional selection but before joining. Candidates who do not qualify for this examination will not be appointed. Candidates found not proficient in the specified local language will be disqualified.
Final Selection
The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase I) will not be added for selection and only the total marks obtained in the Main Examination (Phase II) will be considered for preparing the final merit list. The provisional selection will be made based on the candidate’s performance in the test (Main Examination).
