Eligibility Criteria of Peon and Chowkidar:
Citizenship: The Candidates must be Indian Citizens as defined under Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India.
Age Limit: The candidate must be at least 18 and at least 40 as of 01.01.2025. The upper age limit will be relaxed in case of candidates belonging to reserved categories as per admissible rules.
Age Relaxation (as per category):
OBC/MOBC: 3 years
ST/SC: 5 years
Employment Exchange Registration: Valid Employment Exchange Registration no. is mandatory for those who are not in service.
Educational Qualification: Minimum Class VIII pass and those having Class XII Pass or above shall be ineligible to apply for these posts.

How to Apply :
1. Eligible candidates will have to apply in standard Form of Application (published in the Gazeettee Part IX of Govt. Of Assam) and same must be addressed to “The District & Sessions Judge, Majuli, Garamur, Pin- 785104.” The last date of receipt of application is 20/12/2024 till 03.00 P.M.
2. All applications must be sent by “registered post/speed post” to the aforementioned address and on the envelope [Application for the post Peon/Chowkidar (whichever applied)] must be mentioned.
3. The application must be accompanied with the following :
(i) 2 (two) nos. of recent colored passport size photographs with full signature on reverse side.
(ii) Self-attested copies of testimonials in support of his/her AGE, CASTE and EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, DRIVING LICENCE (if any) etc.
(iii) The candidates must provide their phone number in their application form, written on the top of the Standard Form in RED INK.
(iv) The Candidates to submit a self-declaration certificate along with the application form stating that “he/she has not passed HSLC or equivalent examinations or above.”
4. The applications must be submitted only through speed/registered post in the office of the undersigned. The office will not be responsible for any postal delay.
5. Incomplete or late received applications will summarily be rejected.
6. Copy of valid Employment Exchange Registration Certificate shall be provided with the application.
