Assam TET 2021 Advertisement Notification, Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (TET): Member Secretary, Empowered Committee on Elementary TET, Government of Assam has released the notification for most awaited Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) – 2021 for Lower Primary and Upper Primary level for the state of Assam. Assam TET 2021 is going to be held on 24th October 2021 and the online application process is being started from 25th September 2021.

Assam TET 2021
In the provision of Section 23 of the RTE Act – 2009, the Government of Assam has decided to conduct the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2021 for both Lower Primary and Upper Primary levels for the state of Assam. TET 2021 will be held as per the guidelines laid down by NCTE and all eligible permanent resident candidates of Assam may apply for Paper I( Lower Primary) and Paper-II ( Upper Primary) of TET.
Eligibility Criteria of Assam TET
Resident-ship: The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
Educational Qualification for Assam TET 2021
a) Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) obtained from any recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in class I to V, provided the person so appointed as the teacher will have to mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by NCTE within two years of such appointment as the primary teacher.
b) A person who is pursuing and having admit card of final year examination of any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Guideline dated 11th February 2011, may also apply for TET. However, he can apply for an appointment only after acquiring all the required qualifications.
Remark: Candidate those who were admitted in D.El.Ed program before 31st August 2009 please refer to Clause B under subheading Relaxation.

The following relaxation will be applicable
👉 Relaxation up to 5 % in the academic marks in HSSLC or Graduation shall be applicable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD(PH) to appear in TET (The degree of handicap in case of PH candidates should be minimum 40% and to be certified by the competent authority) both for Paper-| (LP Level) and Paper-ll (UP Level).
👉 For Paper-I (LP Level) relaxation up to 5 % in HSSLC marks shall be applicable for candidates who were admitted in 2- Year D.EI.Ed before 31/08/2009 as per NCTE Notification No. F.51-1/2009-NCTE (N&S) dated 31% August 2009 and qualified 2-Year D.El.Ed subsequently.
👉 For Paper-ll (UP Level) relaxation up to 5 % in Graduation marks shall be applicable for candidates who were admitted in 1-Year B.Ed. before 31/08/2009 as per NCTE Notification No. F.51-1/2009-NCTE (N&S) dated 31% August 2009 and qualified 1-Year B.Ed. subsequently.
Age Limit for Assam TET 2021
To appear in Assam TET 2021 age limit for TET Exam is a minimum from 18 years to a maximum of 44 years.

Assam TET Syllabus for Lp/Up & Exam Pattern 2021
The Government of Assam, Elementary Education, Axom Sarba Shiksha Abhiyan Mission will conduct the Assam TET Exam. We all know that the Assam TET Exam 2021 consists of two papers ( Papers I & II ). Zones of TET 2021
The districts have been grouped into several zones and a candidate has to select his preferred Zone while applying for the TET. After qualifying in TET, he or she will get a preference for engagement as a teacher in his preferred Zone in accordance with the Government Notification No PMA.277/2019/7-A dated 22/08/2019.
This will be applicable for both regular and contractual posts.
