Assam Special TET 2021 Notification
It is for general information that the Government of Assam is going to conduct a Special TET(Lower Primary level) for all contractual employees engaged from time to time /presently working under various interventions of SSA, Assam (except TET qualified Teachers both SSA Contractual and State Pool) having requisite eligibility & qualifications as per NCTE norms and who were issued Unique ID from the concerned district. Thereby online applications are invited from the intending candidates fulfilling aforesaid eligibility criteria who are permanent residents of Assam for appearing in the Special TET.

Eligibility Criteria for appearing in the Special TET
The eligibility criteria of a candidate to appear in Special TET are as follows:
A. Candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
B. Candidates who had worked/are presently working under various interventions of SSA,
Assam and who were issued Unique ID from the districts and having minimum academic &
professional qualification as follows:
Education Qualification For Assam Special TET 2021
Minimum Qualification for appearing in Lower Primary TET (Classes I to V)
a) Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name is known)
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
OR
Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name is known)
OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)obtained from any the recognized institution provided the person if so appointed as a teacher will have to mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by NCTE within two years of such appointment as a primary teacher.
Relaxation:Following relaxation will be applicable:
a) Relaxation up to 5 % in the academic marks in HSSLC or Graduation shall be applicable for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD(PH) to appear in TET (The degree of handicap in case of PH candidates should be a minimum of 40% and to be certified by the competent authority).
b) Relaxation up to 5 % in HSSLC marks shall be applicable for candidates who were admitted in 2-Year D.El.Ed before 31/08/2009 and qualified 2-Year D.El.Ed subsequently
Assam Special TET Syllabus 2021 ( Lower Primary Level):
Syllabus: The syllabus for Special TET is the same as General TET conducted in 2019 and is available in the website http://www.ssa.assam.gov.in. Structure and Content (All Compulsory)
(i) Child Development & Pedagogy (compulsory) – 30 Multiple Choice Questions 30 Marks
(ii) Language I – Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Bodo, Manipuri, 30 Multiple Choice Questions – 30 Marks
Garo, Nepali, Karbi, Hmar (compulsory-any one)
(iii) Language II – English(compulsory) 30 Multiple Choice Questions – 30 Marks
(iv) Mathematics 30 Multiple Choice Questions – 30 Marks
(v) Environmental Studies 30 Multiple Choice Questions – 30 Marks
All(150) questions will be of Multiple Choice Questions type; each question will carry 1 mark.
đDuration of examination: 2ÂŊ hours (150 Minutes) for Paper-I. Additional 20 minutes’ time
(per hour) will be there for visually impaired candidates.
đMinimum Marks for qualifying in TET: A candidate is required to score at least 60% i.e. 90 marks out of 150 to qualify for the Teachers’ Eligibility Test(TET). However, for SC/ST (Hills)/ ST(Plain)/OBC/MOBC/PWD (PH), there will be relaxation of 5 %. Thus, for these candidates, the qualifying score will be 55% i.e. 83 out of 150.
Language For Assam Special TET 2021
The candidate has to choose one Language as Language 1 from the languages
mentioned below:
đ Assamese, Bengali, Hindi, Bodo, Manipuri, Garo, Nepali, Karbi, Hmar.
đThere will be no negative marking.
đMedium of question paper: Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Hindi, English.
District/Center of Examination: Applicant has to select one of the following districts for appearing in the Special TET at the time of submission of online application for appearing in TET. The candidate will select one district only.

How to Apply Assam Special TET 2021
Here the Steps of submission of on-line Application Form and examination fee are- The application will be accepted through Online mode only. No offline application will be accepted.
a) Visit the official website https://ssa.assam.gov.in or https://sebaonline.org for online
application.
b) Click the link “online application for Special TET”.
c) Download Instruction Manual.
d) Read carefully the Instruction Manual on how to submit the online application form.
e) Fill up Online application form, Upload Passport size color Photo, Signature, Professional Qualification mark sheet, Admission slip of ongoing professional course ( in case of candidates pursuing D.El.Ed) of recommended size (as mentioned in Instruction Manual) and submit the online application.
f) The candidate has to pay the fee through online banking/credit card/ debit card etc. He/she can take a print out of the Online Application form.
Important Points of Assam Special TET 2021
i. The candidates who had worked under various interventions of SSA, Assam having valid professional qualifications and have been issued Unique ID are eligible to appear in the Special TET.
ii. The Test will be only for Paper-I (Lower Primary).
iii. For log-in, the candidate has to provide his/her Unique ID, Name and Date of Birth.
iv. Appearing/qualifying in Teacher Eligibility Test would not give rise to an indefeasible right to
be appointed as a Teacher in the future. It is only a qualifying norm for applying for recruitment as a teacher.
v. There will be no verification of documents in support of qualification etc. of candidates while appearing in TET. However, documents of a TET qualified candidate will be verified during the time of teacher engagement process by the concerned authority. In case of submission of false information/claim regarding qualification etc., he/she will be criminally liable, and legal action will be initiated and the TET qualification certificate will be canceled, even if it is issued.
vii. Once the candidate has submitted the online application, no change will be done/ permitted in the future.
viii. In case, after generation of Mark sheet cum Certificate, it is found that a candidate who had appeared in the Special TET had not served under SSA/is not presently working under SSA, his/her Special TET certificate will be treated as void.
ix. Candidates must pay the examination fee through online mode only.
x. Examination will be conducted in different centers located in 21 districts and the candidate must mention his/her option of the district for appearing in the test in the online application form.
However, the authority reserves the right to allot examination centers/venues in a nearby district.
Required documents to Upload for Assam Special TET 2021 Exam
Candidates will upload the following documents while submitting the online application:
a) Recent passport size color photograph
b) Full Signature
c) Pass certificate of D.El.Ed/B.Ed and Mark Sheet of highest Academic degree.
đIncomplete form will be summarily rejected. The candidate must be very careful while submitting the online application form. Claims for correction will not be entertained.
đBefore filling up of the on-line application, the candidate has to go through the Instruction Manual for the online application.
đThe TET Empowered Committee does not accept any responsibility for the candidates not being able to submit their applications within the last date.
đApplications received without the prescribed fee shall not be considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection will be entertained. Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstance nor will it be adjusted against any other examination or selection.
